Simelweyinkosi (Sime) Mlapisane
Sime graduated with an LLB degree attaining 20 distinctions in total. She was then admitted as an attorney and started her own boutique law practice.
Sime’s areas of speciality are: Family Law, Environmental Law and Litigation. She has a right of appearance at all the South African High Courts and has appeared in Johannesburg, Pretoria and Middleburg. In 2023 Sime completed her Masters degree in Environmental Law at the University of the Witwatersrand. She is currently pursuing a Doctorate in Philosophy at the same institution.
Sime offers vocational training to LLB students and recent graduates and also mentors attorneys who have been recently admitted to the legal profession. She was appointed as one of the editors of the Wits Inkundla Law Journal in 2023. Sime is a member of the Environmental Law Association of South Africa (ELA), has also been a guest lecturer Wits University. She also took part in a water research project of the Water Research Commission and Wits University led by Professor Tracy-Lynn Field.
Sime is fluent in German and speaks intermediary French. This places our firm in a position to cater for the needs of diverse clients.
